In Tropical country, the waterfall is something common but in Middle East the existance of waterfall is kind of miracle. Salalah in Dhofar Governate region, has very beautiful waterfall. It has pleasing weather during Khareef (Monsoon) season. It is located in south part is Sultanate of Oman. During summer time (April-October) in North part of Oman, Salalah is one of the best destination. One of the attractive place is Wadi Darbat.

I have visited Wadi Darbat and truly enjoyed it. My next trip hopefully will be monsoon season. In May, the majority of the valley was dried out, although we were able to off road into the remnants in some areas. In December, the river/stream had kayaks and boats in the major area, and we drove through the other side.

The most beautiful water Wadi with cows camels goats roaming freely all along the valley waters and mountains Never ending walks if one chooses the walk over the rocks that leads all the way the valley rather than taking the little boat for a very short distance which restricts one from seeing the extensive beauty of nature further up the valley which we discovered.

Wadi Derbat should be a fixed sightseeing activity for everyone visiting Salalah.
Great animal and bird watching beautiful mountains, lovely river ride, very attractive for trekking. I wish I had visited in the summer and Autumn where the Monsoon or the rainy season apparently turn it into a very lush green natural beauty
I highly recommend not to miss this if you travel to Salalah
